Leaving her corporate life in Rio de Janeiro, Clarissa Paz found her life’s mission as a volunteer at the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi. Aiming to address issues of marginalization, Clarissa co-founded the Ubuntu Nation Project, providing thousands of refugees education, healthcare, employment, and housing.
But when she hears that young orphans live alone in the refugee camp, Clarissa and her husband, Wagner Moura Gomes, petition the Malawian government to adopt 13 multi-national children. Faced with adoption obstacles, Clarissa and Wagner refuse to give up and foster the kids in a loving and lively home. Clarissa must now balance her humanitarian work, adoption obstacles, and mothering her growing family.
